I've been trying to get myself to log on to fics but somehow I can't pull it off. Interesting part is that it feels as repulsive as studying for an exam - I was never able to do that either...
Circles are also in some sort of stagnation stage, it just feels too much work at the moment, -who would have guessed...
I'm thinking of taking a little break from circles and just practicing on cts, maybe I can force myself back to circles after a while...

If I challenged you to a game or two at FICS, would that be enough to force you into playing there? I know you like to beat me at chess... ;-)
ReplyDeleteSpending about 10 minutes/day on your favorite tactics software or book was too much work?! With CTS you are not harnessing the power of repetition so much--a key strength of the proven De La Maza method. But if that's the only tool you enjoy it's better than not doing any tactics at all. ReplyDeleteSomehow I don't feel the "flow" with ct-art as I do with cts. cts is like solitaire/mahjong of chess tactics...;-)
